Ruth White - More Background Info
Ruth White: was born in 1938, the year before the second world
war began.
From around the age of 3 years, Ruth was aware of a shining presence
with whom she could communicate and who was always with her. She
could also see nature spirits in the garden, in parks, in streams
and in the trees that lined the road where she lived. Around people,
she saw shimmering colours, that often changed according to mood.
To Ruth this vision was normal and she was surprised to learn that
not only did her parents not see what she saw, but that they became
angry and anxious at what they saw as her 'fantasies and lies'.
She soon learned that if she wanted to continue to enjoy her private
world, it was better not to speak of it.
Later, Ruth tried to shut the extended vision out, in order to
conform with what seemed to meet general approval, but when she
could not see her inner vision, her outer vision became threatened,
and during puberty there were fears that she would lose her sight.
In spite of this Ruth trained and practised as an Infants' teacher.
During her time at training college she met a Jungian therapist
called Mary Swainson, who was also an inner brother of the White
Eagle Lodge. With Mary's help, Ruth understood her experiences better,
put them into context and developed a strong channelling relationship
with her discarnate teaching guide known as Gildas.
After a marriage break-up, as a single parent, Ruth later re-trained
in counselling and psychotherapy in order to better support her
understanding and practise of channelling and in order to help others
to integrate similar spiritual experiences and beliefs into normal
living.
Ruth now has a busy practice as a spiritual teacher, channel, writer,
counsellor and psychotherapist.
